What is so unique about the current area(NOT ZIP) code for the University of Tennessee?

I am sure they planned this but I don't really know how this was pulled off... maybe it was just by accident...

865 is VOL on touchtone phone.

Tenn is the Volunteers aka VOLS

As Jurydoc says, it spells out VOL. When it came time to issue a new area code to the area, the Tennessee Regulatory Authority specifically requested the 865 code.

It is (865) .........but I am clueless as to what your point is.
