but I think it is safe to assume that we are all pro Madeleine being found alive so if the latest press briefings by the detective agency looking for her are based on reliable evidence and facts, she may even be opening her Christmas presents this year, or am I just being too positive about the situation?

All i care about is whether the little girl is found, not interested in anything else at all.

I want her to be found, and it would be extra special if it was before Christmas. I agree with you about the spin, because people on both sides will twist it so it shows their points of view. I'm not watching it, because I know that Kate and Gerry will be the main focus, and quite frankly, I am bored of those two and their PR attempts. If it was going to be solely about Madeleine, I would watch it, but I know that it will be all about Kate and Gerry, and how the wicked police are trying to frame them.

Back on to Madeleine (the REAL victim): Wouldn't it be a great Christmas present for everyone if she was found alive and well?

Bad enough that she could be dead but the worst case scenario would be that she is found alive and put straight back into the arms of her "oh so loving" parents - remember the ones, that put 14 bottles of wine and some tappas before caring for their three babies. If Maddie is found (which I doubt it) then she should be put with a couple who are responsible for her safety. The McCanns simply cannot be trusted.

I'm neither "anti" or "pro" - I just tell it how it is. They DID have something to do with Maddie's disappearance in the fact that they neglected her while they went on a posh hoo-har jolly up with their other snobby mates. However, whether they had anything deliberate or malicious to do with it remains to be seen and proved. So for now they are guilty of neglect and nothing more unless the police and courts decide otherwise. They just have to live with the consequence of their own stupidity and selfishness.

you're being to positive, shes either dead or is beyond being found, sorry for that but its more than likely true. you're right about anti-mccans putting a spin on all of kate's "woe is me my daughters gone". while the pro mccans will be like "wow, she's so upset she has to be telling the truth."

I don't think I will stay up that late. It would be nice if they found her, but a little optimistic. If she was abducted, as soon as the Mc's released pictures of the anomaly in her iris, they would have had to kill her. There is no mistaking her. That was another of their mistakes. We wouldn't be discussing this, if they had been responsible parents, instead of neglecting their children.

nothing wrong with being positive, lets hope Madeleine is found ,that is all that matters...not to-nights programme and not the parents ,just Madeleine...

I'm more bothered about them finding her than the crap that's going to be typed on here. The arm chair detectives will be out in force later all of them claiming they know how it happened, when it happened and who was or wasn't there. I can hear the rustling of note pads and the sharpening of pencils already as they get ready to jot down questions.

No doubt both sides will say different things later after the programme, as for your final question, yes, I do think you are being overly optimistic. I think she died.

Of course I hope she is found alive after all this. But if someone can explain to me why so many people have spent so many months caring so much about just one child I'd like to hear it. Thousands of children die every day. Why aren't we caring so much about all of them?
