Congrats on the twins! I might suggest picking names that are a little more different, and using one of those names as a middle name. It might get very confusing with the names only being two letters different.

How about:

Alyssa Naomi and Angelina Corrine
Alyssa Reagan and Avery Sarah
Alyssa Chloe and Zoe Alyson
Alyson Callista and Olivia Rose
Alyson Regina and Reagan Alyssa
Alyson Michelle and Danica Katherine

If your mind's made up on the similar names:

Alyssa Chloe and Alyson Zoe
Alyssa Reagen and Alyson Regina
Alyssa Naomi and Alyson Michelle
Alyssa Catherine and Alyson Callista

Hope these help!

I love the names Alyssa and Alyson, but my concern is that those names are too similar. They are the name name with the same root "Alice" and the same meaning, and the only difference between them is the ending. As a twin, I think that it is important to give them each their own name. So name one Alyssa Faith (or something) and the other Grace Alyson (or something) because they will be fighting their whole lives for their own identities without having the almost same name.

You do realize Alyssa and Alyson might as well be named Alice 1 and Alice 2, right? Both forms of the same exact name, made even MORE similar by purposefully misspelling Alison.

If you don't want "those really common middle names," why would you want to do the stereotypical twin thing and literally only name one child? Seems an odd sort of reasoning, to be honest.

Kind of hard to suggest "uncommon" middle names that might suit your style, in light of that, since that's about as common a thought as a parent can have. :(
