Tomorrow we are suppose to find out if this little one is Noah or Emma. I am so nervous he/she will not cooperate and we won't be able to tell. I've heard drinking apple juice or eating chocolate might give the baby a little "sugar rush" and help in making them move around more for a better chance of finding out. Does this work? If not, anything else work? I guess I'm just looking for your experiences with finding out the gender of your baby. Thanks!

Thanks to all of the words of encouragement. Hopefully I'll be posting tomorrow and letting you all know who this little miracle is. :)

I'm not really an expert on this, so I just have one comment. Be careful of the quantity of chocolate you eat while pregnant, as it does contain caffeine, which is unhealthy for the baby.
Good luck with the ultrasound, and congratulations! :)

Don't know that going for a sugar rush is a good idea. You might time it wrong and catch baby on the down side of it and it'll be a sleep. If you can't get the baby to move into the desired position sometimes the ultrasound tech will have you lay on your side to see if that helps.
Are you hoping for Emma or Noah?

I know exactly how you feel. My daughter is 20w1d and we just went to her ultrasound on Friday and I was a nervous wreck that we would not find out the gender. But within the first 2 minutes on the ultrasound we knew. He is a boy. Blayde Lee.
My daughter hadn't ate anything before the test. She drank a coke. But everything went very smoothly. The sonographer said it is rare to not be able to see the gender. It can usually be seen sometime throughout the test. And if they can't see it at first they will go back and try again,
Good luck and congrats.

If the baby is turned right, they will be able to tell you without a problem. I have heard of women drinking a soda before the ultrasound just to get the baby moving.
Good Luck.

Drinking something cold right before does help the baby move around more, however, if the baby is not in the correct position, they will not be able to tell anyways. I went for 4 ultrasounds before they could tell me it was a girl, she just wasn't ready to let anyone know what she was. :
Good Luck.

My sister has been three times to find out and they said that because the baby is moving so much they couldn't catch it. Maybe if the baby is a little more calm they can work around him or her to see. I hope you god blesses you with a healthy baby girl or boy Good luck! and yes please let us all know!!

As long as the baby is healthy you already have the names so keep both in mind just incase. Pick out mint green and lavender and yellow baby things (like nighties and sleep shirts) and white is always good to show the baby is comfy and clean.
