I couldn't live WITH cable - Sky all the way for me. Cable doesn't have half the channels (especially the Sky channels). But no, I couldn't put up without Sky it would do my head in.

Well where I am It is now Virgin Media, previously Telewest, Previously Warner Bros.. Give us phone, digital TV and broadband.. TV we have large package with scores of channels. Costs £62 a month...unless telephone call cost are very high or if we have ordered special pay to view sports or films.. Which is rare,,,

Yes, for those of us that had parents that couldn't always afford to have cable it was okay. We had it most of the time, but there were "dry" spells where my parents had it cut off.

Evidently it is possible because I don't have it, have never had it and can never have it because I live on a private road and they won't lay the cables.

I have satellite and no I don't think I could live without it. Not so much for myself, because when I am really busy it is something that I can use to keep my 5 year old busy. And no I don't use tv as a babysitter, but it is good when you really need it.
