I am ever-so-curious about this phenomenon that seemed to reach epic proportions, then just disappeared off the face of the earth.

Sherryn - Hello! 'tis your old sparring partner Izzy here - no one knows that we became buddies in the end - all it took was a wee bit of communication, did it not? May I take this opportunity to right a couple of wrongs that have been given by way of answer to your question?

The participants of the harmless fun that was Tales from MacTeal Towers and the Moors were hounded off this site by trolls and mischief makers. I did not join nor run and hide to any other site - I left here - sadly - for I felt I had made many good and true friends - but also enemies.

The yarns and the tales that were contributed to by a wide and varied demograph of folk from ALL OVER THE WORLD - most of whom COULD understand the patois of a stereotypical Scottish accent - including Americans, Australians,Scots, Irish, Indian and many others.

It was never a clique - it was never a club - but sadly those that sought individual recognition and did not receive it - felt slighted - and chose to brand us as a group or sub-group outwith Seniors.

You and I had a very frank exchange - and with it - came (certainly from me - respect) - there are others without your intelligence who would rather condemn prior to investigation and pour scorn on that which they dont understand.

I would love to have the community spirit return to this site - I have popped in but dare not show my name as each time I attempt any sort of posting - my questions are pulled and my answers reported.

Some people have very long memories and even deeper spite.

Hope I didnt hijack your question Sherryn - and thanks for allowing me to have my moment to disclaim that which I have been accused of - and found guilty (without trial).

Nice to see one of the old gang still stirring up a bit of intelligent conversation. Keep it up!
Best regards

I think it was a cyber game that involved a group of people who must be more clever than myself. I never understood the questions. I answered one or two and realized I was not "In" and just quit answering. I did not understand the scottish words or referrals to chickens and moors, etc. I am sure they had fun, though, so I hope they find a way to enjoy themselves. They must have a high interest in writing and maybe are considering writing a novel. That is the only thing I know about it, or can think about it. I am just a dull American when it comes to situations like that.

They all abandoned us for their own site . Haven't heard from Tealc666 in such a long time. I sure do miss his snappy comebacks and trivia questions.
