NONONONONONO. THere is no nutritional value. Good luck to the lady that fed her baby french fries and chocolate shake. Ever hear of obesity or juvenile diabetes.
Because it is your child and you said no. There is no better reason.

Those foods are highly processed, containing many chemicals which are unnatural and which, when taken in large amounts, can be harmful. The fact that we take them in tiny amounts doesn't make them less dangerous, but the food companies seem to think it's ok. If someone peed just a little bit in your food, would you eat it? It's almost the same concept, really, but we've learned that it's acceptable when the food industry says it is.
Tell her to read the ingredients in the side panel and see if she can even tell what they are exactly. If it's beyond potatoes and water, then why give so many unnatural things to a baby?
A baby's stomach is still sensitive and learning to properly digest at the age of 7 months. Sure, packaged potatoes are easy to make, but so is steaming/boiling a real potato and mashing it up.
Also, tell her it's your child and you'd rather not have her feed that to your baby. You should always try to have your baby eat healthy so that she can grow up learning what is "good" food and avoid the bad foods. You're the mother and you have to say tell her what's acceptable.
Start giving her pre-made potatoes (either ones you made yourself or the jarred kinds) so she has no reason to make the packaged kinds.
Good luck!

If you only feed your baby organic produce and fresh veggies then quite understandably, you won't want the child eating pre-packaged, chemically-enhanced spud when you're not around. However, if you feed it with those jars of pre-prepared baby food which probably contain preservatives anyway, the odd meal of junkfood isn't going to do much harm. I think, therefore, in the cause of harmonious family relationships (which are far better for the child in the long run than silly little arguments about food) you let your mum feed the baby whatever she wants while she's babysitting. Just do your own thing at home and keep the peace. Your mum brought you up without killing you so she's hardly likely to harm her own grandchild with the same diet. Mum thinks she knows best - you probably do know best - but let her win over this one.

OKAY! this is fine, sure it has health value what is wrong with you people. the baby has to have something. my little brother is a year in 2 more days... the kid was ******* eating grapes and pears and peaches and all sorts of stuff he even had pizza crust, crackers, shepherds pie and so on...
Also my little brother at 5 months was walking and talking... this probably doesn't have much to do with the food intake but it may be more hereditary. He is almost a year and he says, dad, mom, cat, dog, fish, ball, jesse, look... etc... he is amazing!
This helps them gain a better sense of the fact that they have to CHEW their food. i see kids today that are almost 2 and still choke on their food. My step mother knows so much about babies, she knows what they can have and what they can't. Obviously there are other foods you can give them that have a health values.. plus potatoes will help them gain weight which will look good on the weight chart.. and she isn't underweight! so feel free to try anything necessary to prevent choking or even the sense to try new food. the more food you try the less fussy your child will be when it comes time to eat vegetables and so on later on in life
Good Luck

Geez...from some of the answers out here, you'd think it would be the end of the earth the second the baby takes a bite of the stuff. If baby is eating rice cereal and/or oatmeal, a few bits of packaged potatoes will be FINE. Why? Because it's pure starch, and starch is about the easiest thing for your body to break down. Guess what rice cereal is? Starch! Relax...

good day, it is extremely annoying yet completely organic. i'd say as long as he's eating and having moist nappies as time-honored there is little to stress approximately. while you're worried he's dehydrated get some oral rehydration medicine. little ones are distinctive from adults, we tend to initiate eating after a trojan horse like that because of the fact we sense we could constantly, extremely than truthfully needing to consume. a new child is the alternative they consume while they might desire to and if their tummies are soft then they gained't wan't to consume. he takes a sprint nutrients so good now it is for sure in basic terms what he's needing. it would desire to take as much as three days yet i'm confident he gets decrease back to time-honored. desire he's okay xx

all they are is dehydrated potatoes and the crap in jarred baby food is loaded with preservatives....so how are dehydrated potatoes going to hurt, the fresh stuff has pesticide, so you can't shield your child from the universe, I will tell you IF parents were smart the FIRST thing they would do regarding their children is QUESTIONING the medical community on these vaccines that kill children and make others learning disabled and or autoimmune disorders....
my last son, I stopped all medical intervention....and he is talking at 6 months, he says, Momma, Dada, Go, See, and Look....and he is pulling himself up and fixing to walk.....the doctors who have evaluated him are astonished....
I know in my heart it is the FACT that I haven't allowed him to be pumped full of chemicals....

My youngest children ate them at that age, but sparingly. Unless your baby is planning on eating a huge helping, most likely it's not going to hurt her, or bother her system. Potatoes are pretty bland. But you are your baby's mother, and if you are not comfortable with it, then by all means! Don't let anyone feed her those potatoes! It certainly won't hurt her to not have them either! Best of luck to you!

Because all processed food is bad...it has usually got emulsifier or preservatives added....also they can have salt in there...which is a BIG no-no for babies...too much can actually kill them. Baby is only just big enough to eat in the first place....fresh food only. If your Mom finds it a pain to prepare, the do a big batch of sweet potatoes, normal potatoes..etc. and freeze little portions in ice cube trays..she can then defrost him a couple every time she feeds him.

You can feed your baby any fine food at that age. Use a liquidiser to grind it if you want, not the mash silly. The other food's
Enjoy a healthy baby that way.

No it isn't ok! They have chemicals in them! Boil and mash an organic potato and then it's ok. People are getting lazy with packaged foods.
