It'd be nice to pick a show and watch it whenever I want instead of waiting until a specific time to tune in. I know you can watch episodes on the internet, but it still not instant like TV is. You should be able to click on to the program and watch it without any loading or buffering. Now thats TV. And you shouldnt have to depend on things like Tivo where you have limited Hard drive space either.

Yes, eventually the scenario you desire will probably occur. You can see the beginnings of it now with "On Demand" services from the TV providers. But it will require better technology than exists today. Your children will probably enjoy it, but you may not.

This is why TV shows coming out on DVD are such a hot seller. People dont have time to watch at the networks schedule. They like having the whole series available when they want.

if that ever becomes available you would probably have to pay for it, I own a tivo box and never had problems with hard drive space, but if you do you can always get a drive with more space installed.
