13 months to go. If we can keep him bogged down and ineffective for 13 months we'll be safe.

The US will NOT be invading Iran...

Now the Israelis and the US may conduct airstrikes, but there will not be a ground invasion. One, the terrain is inhospitable; and two, it has much more resources in terms than Iraq of people and financing to put up a good defense.

Three, it is not a rogue state, as some would like you to believe. The positive relations with Russia, China and the EU serve as a major barrier for any broad US efforts. At best they will allow us only to target suspected nuclear facilities.

He does not have any intentions to invade Iran. Bush is becoming quite the appeaser like Chamberlain, he is trying to give Iran time to change their minds on nuclear power. Sanctions are a form of the tactic "peace at any price". Iraq is actually doing well wih the surge and I say this as a person who is against the war. It makes me relieved that we're some progress maybe we can leave Iraq in a couple of years.

There has been only one successful exit plan. It's called surrender.

We are still in ALL the rest. Japan, England, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Guam, American Samoa, Deigo Garcia, Texas, California, Germany, Belgium, the Pillippines, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Israel, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, and Uzbekistan.

Proposed new bases:
Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Pakistan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Sierra Leone, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates

What is an exit strategy and why is it neccessary?

Why worry about something that probably won't happen while Bush is in office. One thing is for sure - Diplomacy is not working - we have been talking for the past two years and have gotten nowheres except that Iran is a lot closer to having nukes. I hope our next president (republican or democrats) has the guts to stop Iran because no one else (except Israel) is going to do squat. An No, Iran will not attack us directly. They will do what they have been doing lately - supplying arms to terrorist organizations - except this time they'll be selling nukes to terrorists to use against us.

Bush does not think of issues out. He purely reacts to his gut feeling. He might desire to fairly learn the region earlier he makes a call. He might desire to understand that what is going on in the midsection east has been occurring for many some years. back to Bible circumstances. no longer everybody desires to stay in a democracy. look after our place of beginning first. shelter our boarders and states. supply up the OIL greed! Pulling out does not advise we lost..it potential have been are smart to no longer get caught in the path of a conflict we had no company in the 1st place.

I doubt he has an exit plan. He never came up with one for Iraq and here we are, over 4 years later, with no end in sight. It's pretty scary knowing that someone like Mr. Bush doesn't have the sense to recognize that invading Iran will likely lead to an even more horrific war.

No, he's still working hard on the exit plan for Iraq. I wished this was a joke

He never even had an exit plan for Iraq, how could he have one for Iran?

His exit plan for Iran is the same as the one for Iraq: leave office in Jan 2009.

He's got a quarter million GIs on the boarder of Iran now. The exit plan from Iraq? Move East on the ground.
Are the Iranians sweating it or what?
Are they so insane as to want a conflict? (don't answer that and jinx it)
