Last year I applied for a job with the Library of Congress. I noticed there was an optional section where you could state whether you have a handicap or not. I noticed it when I had only ten minutes left to submit my application via the internet, so I called their office. The administrator said if I had a handicap, I should DEFINITELY mention it (assuming it wouldn't interfere with the work) since they want competent handicapped people. Then he asked if I had some 'official handicapped' form. I said I didn't, just a doctor's note. He said I needed a gov't approved form. Does anyone know what this form could be?

You have to call the state and they should be able to tell you where to get the forms or they can send them to you. Or you can try going ot the court house they might have them. You need to be legally considered handicapp before you can claim it on any job or on your taxes. Check out your states website, they could have more information!

Read the article. Nice, it said nothing about fed. funding helping Texas to balance the budget deficit last year. It also said nothing about him claiming that the stimulus didn't save any jobs. There is no doubt that the amount of money that was used in the stimulus helped to save some jobs. The problem is it did not create a situation that will allow for the continued salvation of those jobs. In fact common logic would lead one to the conclusion that since there is no more money, those jobs that were saved will disappear.

If you had a qualfying handicap, you'd most likely already know what the form is, and have it. Since you don't mention what handicap you have, it's hard to give you a better answer than that.
