Because, Republicans got the smack down during the 2006 Midterm Elections,
they are desperate.
Funny thing is, when ONLY conservatives were invited to scream and rant on the white house lawn right before the midterm elections,
they still got their butts kicked to the curb.
Anything could happen in 2008, but I think people know if they are better off or not, no matter what the republican talking heads say.
Anymore, they are just amusement.

I guess a better question would be, Why is Republican or Conservative Talk Radio so widely popular across the USA while Democrat or Liberal Talk Radio is such a dismal failure?". The answer is that most people know that most of the blather spread on Democrat or Liberal Talk Radio is what can be termed the lies and deceit of the loopy left.

If there were enough Liberals actually having to commute to work to listen to a liberal broadcast there wouldn't be a monoply. The fact of the matter is the artsy liberal types (actors, painters, musicians) , welfare recipients, and illegals just do not listen to AM radio.
