There's a barefoot symbol on the shoulder of the Avs sweaters. I think it's a cool graphic and like it but what does it mean? Does it stand for anything? What's its significance?

It's the footprint of the bigfoot that created the avalanche (according to Stanley Kroenke who bought the team from Quebec and had the design created)

Yeah they're right, it's the footprint of bigfoot, who was supposedly walking around during an avalanche I guess.

Well the Colorado mountains are full of snow, and that's the home of the Fictional creature, the Yeti.
