to you years ago, but yet now means something completely different? For nme its "Angry Young Man by Billy Joel. When I was a young man I got mad at that song and thought the guy didn't know what he was talking about. But now as a middle aged man the song is a very different song to me all together!

O please don't give me an Aviril Lavine song you heard three months ago and now you don't like it. I mean a song that affects you and has deep meaning to you.

when i was little my parents always played the elton john record "goodbye yellow brick road", and that was my favorite song, mostly because i just thought the song was pretty, i was too young to understand the words. when i went through my teenage rebellion years and actually listened to the words, i completely disagreed with it, because it talked about wanting to leave the city and go back to the country, and i wanted the exact opposite. now that i'm grown, i really understand and relate to it.

One of my favorite sad songs is Me And Little Andy by Dolly Parton. When I was a kid, it was just a song I liked that Grandma had a 45 of. Now that I am an adult the sadness of the song really can be understood and makes me cry big tears. Plus it reminds me of my Grandma.
