Hey, I have a girlfriend who had to pay child support while she was in college last year, despite the fact that she also received financial aid to afford college. So, I would also agree that a parent must pay child support unless he or she is in the hospital or is in jail. These obligations just don't disappear because money is in short supply.
States will assist parents and their attorneys in tracking down deadbeat parents to make them pay child support. They can garnish wages if the parent doesn't pay on his or her own.

Depends on your state laws, they could force him to work a certain number of hours a week in some places to pay the minimum he was ordered to pay but like the saying goes "you cant get blood out of a turnip" If hes not working and he has no money, he cant give you any. Try to work out an agreement with him through lawyers and if it doesnt work you can take him back to court to let the judge decide what to do. I would consult with an attorney in your area first to see what rights you have before you speak with him about it though! Good luck!

Parenting is a 24/7 job - so is paying for a childs welfare!! It doesnt matter that he is in college - his child cant wait 4 years for some money for necessities.

yES, they will not let him out of child support just because he's in college..... If he is not working - they might go by minimum wage for now----
The judge will pretty much tell him to get a job ont he side and pay up!

This is a question you need to ask your attorney. The children still have to eat, whether Dad is in school or not, so I would think he still has to pay, but I'm not qualified to answer that question definitively.

Child support amounts are determined on income. If his income has changed he needs to go to the court and get the amount owed changed.
