I have the latest internet explorer and i have the menu with file, edit, view, and etc. the menu disappears when I connect to the net. Does dial-up have anything to do with it. And only dial-up is availible in my neighborhood.

Right-click on an empty spot on a toolbar - then click on "menu bar."

Are you sure dialup is the only thing available to you? Do you have cable TV? If you do, you should be able to get cable internet. A bit pricey (I pay $50 a month) but it is worth it to me.

Some telephone companies offer package deals with phone and higher speed internet. Check it out.

Try hitting F11 - maybe you are in full screen mode ....
