I have a snowboard here that I want to sell, I dont know anything about it. How do I measure it so i can properly advertise it? is it simply from the two curled up ends tip to tip?

You cannot just measure the board, because different manufacturers measure differently. Some do measure straight from tip to tail, others measure the actual length of the base including the curved distance. If anyone doubts this, put several boards that are the "same size" from different manufacturers next to each other - they will be different.

That said, a simple measurement will get you very close to the actual board length. I have never seen a board that didn't have the length somewhere on it. Look for a stamped number in the center of the board, look on the edge, or on top - it is usually in the graphics somewhere on the top of the board.

Keep in mind that a lot of times they drop the "1" at the front, so a 158cm may have a "58" somewhere on the board.

How To Determine Snowboard Size

snowboards are always measures in centimeters, so when you measure it measure in centimeters. The size is the the MATERIAL LENGTH in centimeters. that means you bent the tape measure so it fits the contour of the snowboard the whole way. You then know the size of the snowboard. Say if it's 153 centimeters you advertise it as a 153. The problem with knowing nothing about it is you can't advertise what kind of board it is such as a park board or an all mountain board.
