Pyscho! - my parents are planning to put me in boarding school after 10th grade and when I'm done with my IGCSE =]
......I guess I have to! ^^ yeah! lol
I'm not sure I'll survive though but it sounds sooooooo much fun =]

I was in Boarding school for 3years - it was fun!
I didn't get along with my mom so she sent me 'away' to some boarding school in the middle of nowhere in Kenya. I also went to catholic/christian boarding school in the UK -definitely strict!
Depending on what type of boarding school it is, it can be very strict or mildly strict. At first the rules are annoying but you get used to it and it's better if you're not a trouble maker(which i was). It's mostly opinionated, boarding school is what you make it to be. It's also good cause you become more responsible of your personal belongings, you learn how to maintain friendships, you mature from all the rules whether you break them or not, you learn to improve your time management when balancing fun with school work, you become sporty ( i was so influenced by the sports that i decided to join and now i play quite a number), you're a small "community" , it also prepares you for college life since you'd be away from home too.
The bad side of boarding school is - you can't bail yourself out of trouble, you have to deal with drama and backstabbing friends,you have less time to do homework than day school, personal belongings and food are stolen, you have to deal with roommates who snore or roommates with OCD, running out of pocket money,annoying room checks..theres too much.....but in the end you'll miss it and wish you could go back..
If you can deal with being away from home and like being around friends 24/7 then you should try it..
talk to your parents about it

hMmMmMmM...
lemme see i've never been to one but what i'd imagine is that they're probably strict [obviously],loud [not peaceful lol], kinda fun, like othr people said you prob will miss it, it seems like just school with a bunch of people/friends/enemies like high school LOL Well to tell you the truth this is what i'd imagine [[as i said before i've never been to one] so uMmMmM
google it for some facts.
