Here's are some examples:

"What's outside the universe?"
"What happened before the big bang?"
"How many stars are there?"
"Do you believe in aliens?"
"Did we really go to the moon?"

How many others can you think of?

I have never asked a "homework question" on Yahoo Answers. I am not in school now and haven't been for 25 years. I have posted questions that might look like homework questions, but I compose them myself as a challenge to others. To tell the truth, I believe that *some* of the people who respond with "Do your own homework!" are simply lazy or afraid of showing incompetence.

Questions keep getting asked over and over because people are just to darn lazy to look things up for themselves. Be it in a book, on the Internet or by doing a "discover" search here.

They want to ask their question and have someone else do the work for them. Computers have not made children smarter, just lazier.

If I do figure that this type of question is a homework question then I tell them so and to go and study,

Perhaps too because people never bother reading what's already here - they just enter their question, unaware (and possibly not caring) that the question has been asked many times before.

Comet Holmes is another one that gets asked over and over.

People seem to keep asking about the mayan calendar (and "will the world end in 2012").

A lot of people continue to ask about Aliens. (Oh, my bad, you already mentioned that one).

And people seem to post of lot of astrology questions on here.

"If there's no air in space, how does the Sun burn?"

"What will happen on December 21st 2012?"

"How come I can see the Moon in the daytime?"

"How come we can get good pictures of galaxies billions of light years away but can't get a decent picture of Pluto/the flag on the Moon?"
