It's highly dependent on the locations involved and the hardware. Facors include:

Construction of walls, listed from best to worse.

Line of Sight
Glass (Results may vary)
Plaster
Metal
Brick
Double brick
Mirrored (Mirrored wardrobe for example)

Electrical interference (in no order):

2.4Ghz cordless phones
Microwaves
3-phase power
Other Wireless AP's
High Concentration of wireless AP's

Hardware:

Standard 802.11g
802.11g range-extended (using phased arrays and other technologies to extend the range)
802.11n
Encryption (WPA and WPA2 have highly variable compatibility, sometime it will work flawlessly other times it will refuse to work regardless of firmware or drivers)

Position of PC:

Directly above (Will cause issues due to the phreznal area)
AP close to ground (more obstructions, cover less area)

If at all possible I would suggest a site survey of any area you are looking to install wireless hardware in. That means getting someone to bring in a wireless AP and plug it in where you are thinking of installing one and then using a laptop to check the signal strength and quality. This will give you a good idea if its going to be viable and what type of hardware you're likely to need without buying something and then finding it won't work in your situation.

Your looking at about 92 meters under the best of conditions. when thinking about WLAN range you need to consider the elements your using your wireless. Some things to consider are walls, electronics in the house/apt that may interfere with your signal. So when we say 92 meters that is really with little to no interference.

Depends on what type of hardware you are using, the construction of the building, etc. If you have a particular model router in mind, try going to the website for the manufacturer. They should have the specs listed.
