Looking at purchasing a lower end laptop for just some basic use. I don't expect for the machine to run any really graphics hogging or newer games, but the specs for it list a ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB HyperMemory card. I just wanted to know baisically what I can expect from it. I'm not that up to speed on mobile graphics cards, only the desktop versions. Thanks,

Basic gaming with the resolution set low, todays new games take soo much to run.

It will work fine, and last just as long as any other graphics card. You only limitations, like you said,are graphics, which mainly comes down to some of the newer software out there for graphic editing, and especially games. Not much reason to toss out an extra 200$ on a vid card unless your really into some extreme graphics.
