A lawyer or a business executive?
I choose a lawyer because I don't trust business executives these days. I want someone who actually believes in something more than the bottom line.

Lawyers do good work. I had a business law professor who said something to the effect that more people have been hurt from business executives than from lawyers. (paraphrasing and it's been a few years) He has a point. No question some business professionals are wonderful and so are some lawyers. But if I had a choice, I would side with someone who is more interested in helping people than just helping themselves. I think a business executive would more likely throw me out of the raft than a lawyer. Of course, this is just hypothetical. I don't really know the answer. Obviously, I would want my family in my life raft. (Maybe not so obvious. on second thought)

Evelyn: I disagree. All life is not about buying and selling. That is too simplistic. I'm an MBA student part-time. I volunteer with an organization. I'm not buying or selling anything. I do this to help out in the community. It's important. It seems people that work in government do so for similar reasons. (the ones that actually work) It's not all about business. I can see why that is said but it's too simplistic in my view.
