I need to prime and paint my 16ft fiberglass canoe, what I would imagine is it would be simmalar to painting one side of a car. duplicolor brand spray on primer and paints say they can cover fiberglass. Since It wont be in the water very long each time, I know a marine grade paint isnt nessasary for an old canoe.
I am wondering what is the coverage per can? Based on square footage, believe it or not I can not find it online!
So, if you have experence with these products, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

The coverage area should be listed on the can itself. Depending on the thickness of the paint film, I would think that around 30 sq ft per can would be more than enough. Try and buy too much from the same lot, and then you can return any unused cans for a refund.

Even though the canoe will not be in the water for really long periods, I would still think it worth the cost of the marine grade paint. Consider it anyway.

good luck.
