Some ignoramis came to
MY door and asked my to sign a petition .

To remove the new bill passed that allows homosexualism to be taught in school.

I told him " Thats like saying the children dont have a right to learn about black people, homosexuals are people too."

That petition didnt have 1 signature on it .

Just out of curiousity, would you have signed it?

How does one teach homosexualism? I was not aware that it was an ism personally? I thought it was just how some people were. Are they going to teach not to be prejudiced against someone because they are a Homosexual? that is definately needed because people who are prejudiced are complete idiots. No I would not have signed it. I have nothing against Homosexuals just like I have nothing against African-Americans, Asians, or Middle-Easterners. I will like a person until they give me a reason not to. And that will usually be because they are jerks lol. People need to get over themselves and stop thinking that they are better than everyone else just because they are different. Any human being is just as crappy as any other.

I would not have signed it simply for the fact that it's going to lead to more favoritism. More special treatment. There's black history month and soon there will be gay history month.
I don't have a problem with gays or blacks, what I do have a problem with is all the favoritism that follows with it.
If everyone would be treated as equals and not with special considerations based upon race and sex I wouldn't mind.

This confuses me a little. Being homosexual is not a race! What is to be taught? That is what I would want to know. Are they teaching the act of SEX.?

No. Homosexualism exists, is a fact of life, and people just have to get used to it. Many great men and women are and have been homosexuals.

I would not have signed .

The courses are not "homosexualism" really. The subjects deal with "sexuality" in general, tolerance etc.

I wouldn't have signed it either, but then again, I'm gay. And while I'm not sure it needs to be "taught", I think there are an awful lot of myths out there that need to be dispelled.

No. It's high time that people got over the whole gay/straight thing.

One of our greatest Irish writers, Oscar Wilde, was gay.
