The answers that tell you letdown is your milk flowing freely when your baby nurses are correct. Your breasts are always making milk. The milk that your body makes between nursing sessions is stored in your breast's milk ducts. When your baby nurses, or when you experience another stimulus (for some women, taking a warm shower, hearing a baby cry, or simply having it be the usual time for baby to nurse can all trigger letdown), your body squeezes out some of this stored milk. Your baby gets a large amount of milk at once. Letdown affects both breasts at once, so some women may experience one breast leaking (or spraying, if you have a strong letdown) while baby nurses on the other side. Some women experience letdown as a tingling or squeezing sensation, others never feel letdown. You'll know you're having a letdown because your baby will begin to swallow frequently. Breastfeeding mothers typically have several letdowns during a nursing session, but most women will only feel the first one if they feel it at all. If you're breastfeeding your baby and your baby is gaining weight well, you're having normal letdowns!

"Letdown" is what happens a few minutes into nursing your baby, when the milk from your breasts starts to flow more freely with less effort from baby. I always heard/read you could feel a tingling feeling when "it" happened, but I nursed all 3 of my children and never felt any such sensation. As far as what to look for... as long as your baby seems satisfied/full after a nursing session, you and baby are doing just fine and there is nothing to worry about!

Letdown is when your baby starts feeding...the first few sucks or so are the primers, if you will...then when the milk starts releasing, that's your letdown. If you take baby off your breast, the milk will usually keep on streaming at this point and spray baby, or anyone within range - you'd be surprised how far it can shoot. I got my husband on the other couch one time when my first pulled off the breast without any warning...
Sometimes it starts happening in a warm shower if you're chock full of milk.
My first thought this was hilarious when I'd feed my second...'Mommy! You got chubber in the face!'

There had been a couple of. Some that are available in my brain are: Babylon A.D -would were Vin Diesels comeback Madagascar two-it used to be lame and un-long-established,the primary one used to be humorous Shutter-its a nasty horror movie, must were a minimum of "Mirrors" fine Eagle Eye-all glamour,no substance Transporter three-despite the fact that it used to be a laugh,it used to be to foolish and cartoonish Harold And Kumar two-it used to be so embaressing to observe The Strangers-unmentioned ripoff of the french movie "Ils" The Love Guru-worst Mike Myers movie ever and despite the fact that its no longer a complete letdown,Quantum Of Solace merits a "honorable point out',due to the fact that it used to be extra Bourne and no more Bond.

When I was BF'ing, others would talk about the "letdown" feeling also. This is the feeling you get when your milk flows. Like when a woman talks about getting the letdown feeling when she hears her baby crying. Then next thing she knows, her shirt is wet. :)
Congratulatins on your baby :)

When your milk letsdown you will feel it. It is the sensation you get when you know your baby is hungry or they are crying. It feels like your breasts are filling up. This is when your breasts get ready to feed your baby. The feeling gets a little less pronounced the longer you breast-feed. Watch out for the first couple of months though, when I was breast-feeding sometimes crying kids in the grocery store could make my milk let down and I would leak all over.

I'm not an expert on this either. I do have some experience, though. Um it sounds like what happens when your breasts are full to bursting with milk and you really really need to nurse. And maybe it's also the tingling draining sensation you feel in your head when you know your baby is receiving the milk.

Its when your milk lets down when you're nursing. All your milk glands will tighten and release milk at the same time- emptying themselves effectively- this happens because baby has stimulated it by nursing.
It also happens early on because you hear a baby cry, or you smell your baby or hear him or see him. Its normal.
Its painful for some women.

Let down refers to your breasts making alot of milk all at the same time (probably because the baby was nursing non-stop and your body needed to replenish the supply).
The letdown is the tingling feeling you have in your upper chest, lower neck region that feels like goose bumps and an adrenaline rush.

It is when your milk flows freely in breastfeeding.
Letdown happens after a while easily when a mom hears her baby crying.
