3 = lll 100 + C 500 = D 1000 = M
4 = lV
5 = V 1898 = MDCCCXCVlll
6 = Vl
7 = Vll 1999 = MCMXClX
8 = Vlll
9 = lX
10 = X

M = 1000
CM = 900 one hundred less than 1000
XC = 90 ten less than 100
lX = 9 one less than 10

while have been you born? MCML is 1950. for each 10 years after that, placed an X (MCMLXX=70). A 5 is V. A a million is I. So, in case you have been born in 1983 you would be MCMLXXXIII. it would be much less complicated in case you advised us what your delivery year is.
