They should only be allowed to take 10% for SAG contracts. 20% should be for modeling and maybe non-union work. I don't know how old you are, but if you're under age you should have someone negotiate this for you (a parent or someone who knows the business in your area). I'm not familiar with how things work in Florida. If you don't feel the agency is being honest with you about contract terms, find another agent.

There is always a good thing to let a lawyer look at any contract you sign and remember that there arent any timelines to hold. The money spent on a lawyer that have competence in this field isnt much if you got some problem later on.

20 Percent sounds hight to me but could be ok even if I would have liked 10 percent better.

What troubles me is the fact that they want you to pay them even after a termination of a play or the cancelation of a movie. Make sure that your lawyer signs in that you can withdraw from income if youre ill for example or is given an offer you cant refuge. But what they want w that paragraf is to prevent things like "no i dont like this sucker play any more. I quit" stuff to happened. Johan

Hold on.

20% is the accepted agency fee for non-union work.

10% is the most allowed for SAG/AFTRA or other union work.

Just because they want you to sign a contract doesn't mean you can't make reasonable amendments to it.

You should read it carefully before you sign anything. Agents are entitled to payments for jobs you did previously if they negotiated for you in the first place.

www.sag.org can give you a list of reputable agencies all over the USA.
