I enjoy these books, do you?

I own around 100 books by R.L Stine. I own around 20 movies from the "GooseBumps" series. I even own Slappy the ventriliquist dummy.
I mainly own items from the Goosebump series but also some fear street.

in elementary school they were my favorite series. i'm afraid that now the magic has worn off a bit and i prefer something more substantial. however they were wonderful for a quick read and the stories (mostly) were more weird than scary... several were just bizarre like the one where the kid turns into a bee?
i think the only one that really got me was one of the Fear Street ones, the one where the two kids test out their dad's ride and it tries to kill them and then the twist ending? do you know the one i mean? well anyway i think that one was well written and suitably confusing and creepy.

so to answer your question.

For most of my young life: Yes, i did, very much (but not so far as to let even a model of Slappy anywhere near my house)

Currently: they would not be my first choice for a book to read but i would definitely recommend them to younger kids and for a must read list.

I used to read those when I was in middle school; that's been over 10 years ago... more like 15 :-/ But they were really enjoyable at the time! I'm actually interested in reading them again to see what the appeal was, hehe.
