Unfortunately, MICROSOFT office is not free (unless you get it from a friend and that's illegal). You CAN buy a student version (does not come with Access, but most folks don't use Access anyway) for about $150; less on ebay if you can find it.

There is no "legal" free Microsoft Office download. You can download a 60 trial, or you can download Open Office for free. It will open and edit just about all MS files.
You can get a student/teacher version of Office. I think the price is somewhere around $150 - 160. The full version starts around $480, and goes up depending just how many of the Office Suite programs that you need.

Hi, yes of course u have Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X. One question though why would u want to run Microsoft Office on OS X when u can use Apple's iWorks which is a million times better, Microsoft Office 2008 is buggy crap. Good Luck and take care!

MS Office is by far the most expensive of office suites. You can try - Lotus SmartSuite / Corel WordPerfect Office / Ashampoo Office suite as low cost alternatives.
You can also try OpenOffice / IBM Symphony as zero-cost alternatives.
Individual programs such as AbiWord also work great.

My vote towards mininova.org (bittorent portal)
Ehh.. whats the point ot pay for 'alternatives' if u still gonna pay and dont get what u want - WTF?
if u really want to safe and get good tool use OpenOffice its free free free, updated frequently and just perfect for someone who dont need office suite and got problems with piracy.

You aren't able to get it for free.. (would be nice).
But for free temporarily, you can download all of those off of Microsoft's website. I think they are 60 day trials.
