The 1950s and the 1960s. It was downhill from there though. There was very little swearing, hardly any burglary because most of us didn't have anything worth pinching. The roads were safe to cross as most of us didn't own cars. Buses came every five minutes and a bag of chips cost 3d. which is just over 1p in today's money. Children respected their parents, or else!
We had the advent of rock n' roll and were allowed an age of innocence. I was so lucky.

Mine 1941 until now missed National Service (with mixed feelings ) and WW ll too old for the Falklands Iraq and Afghanistan. The old good values still held sway
