Relax. If they saw the sac in the proper place, then your pregnancy is not ectopic.
Also, if you are only 4 weeks pregnant, the doctors wouldn't see anything but the gestational sac anyway.
The doctors couldn't see anything on me till 7 weeks. That's when they saw the gestational sac, the yolk sac and the fetal pole.
Everything is just too tiny to see right now :)
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Did they do an internal exam? And an internal ultrasound? Its normal for you to have some light spotting of any color the day after that. They usually warn you about it at the time of the visit.

Your baby is only 2 weeks from conception. At that point theyre doing good to even find a dark spot in the uterus, let alone a sac. I wouldnt worry about it too much.

I dont know how it could be tubal since the sac is in the right place- the sac forms directly from the embryo- not jsut from thin air, so they have to be together. Either the both form and all goes on, or only one forms (the sac) and the pregnancy is not viable. But at this early date its normal not to see anything.

Just wait for your next visit, theres no reason why your egg should fail to form. It was created to grow, so expect it to.

If the sack is where it should be then you probably arent having an eptopic pregnancy. If they just did an ultrasound scan over your stomach then they probably wouldnt be able to detected heartbeats etc. I had a scan done last week due to bleeding, they did the ultrasound and couldnt find anything either so that had to do an internal ultrasound thing, and that was when the saw things better, they saw 2 sacks and 2 faint heartbeats. Please try not to worry, I really do feel for you as I am going through the same thing. I am off for another scan tomorrow as had more bleeding. You have to really think along the lines of everything happens for a reason. but 4 weeks is very early for them to pick up heart beats. If you need someone to speak to please mail me as I am going through the same. Good Luck hun xxxxx

you are def pregnant by the sounds of it, they should have not told you its more than likely to be ectopic ! because its not! if the sac is there then its not stuck in your tube is it? 4 weeks is very early and would be very hard to see if there was anything their , thats why usually you have firat scan at 12 weeks thats when you can def see something, so dont worry or be scared you can still bleed lightly when you are pregnant it can be implantation bleeding that is when the egg attaches its self to the side of your womb, or in some cases and its not to rare , some wemen can have periods for the first few months of pregnancy. congratulations and hope you have a problem free lovely pregnancy....
