Which spelling is best? I know there are a ton of other ways to spell this name but I only like these two but can't decide which one is better

Neither! This is like the most overused generic name you can name a baby girl. Everyone has it... You say Kaitlyn and like 5 girls will turn around

From your options I prefer Kaitlin, it has a flow and with Katelyn, it seems as if the "e" stops the thought of what is being said. However, my favorite spelling of it is Kaitlyn!

Kaitlin looks better than Katelyn. You could also spell it, Kaitlyn or Caitlin or Caitlyn. Myself I like Kaitlyn or Caitlyn.

Caitlin! but out of the 2 you chose Id go with Kaitlin. But honestly since your spelling it differently, you know your child will go its whole life having its name mispelled, and always having to correct people. Just consider that

Katelyn because I like the name Kate and this version allows for Kate as a nickname.
