Yesterday I went for a long walk in the woods where I used to play when I was a child and I introduced my son to the delights of walking though the piles of crunchy leaves. Who else likes doing this, and when did you last do it?

It's autumn here in Italy and I love walking through the piles of crunchy leaves even if it's very cold outside ... just like hearing the sound of the sea when I go to the beach in summer.

I can do it today - my house is surrounded by fallen leaves. Being a sensitive chap I didn't like to crush fallen leaves as a child and so I just enjoyed dragging my feet through them and listening to the rustling sound. I now realise that it is impossible to walk through leaves without crushing at least a few of them and so I try to block the prospect out of my mind when I have to go through them today. I know they're dead but the sentimentality of childhood remains (anyway, everyone knows that little boys never grow up!!)!

I did it last night. Except it wasn't fun to have crunchy leaves. I was stalking deer, which, crunchy leaves makes it suck!!! But, I'm sure if I were just walking through, enjoying the scenery, it would be okay.

I love it. I used to walkthrough the fallen leaves with my dad. I walked through some swirling leaves yesterday, but they were few, since almost all of the leaves are gone and the trees just about bare.

God bless you.

I LOVE doing this and do it every time the leaves are out. The first winter my boyfriend and I were together, he looked at me like I was a complete loony doing this everytime I went outside.....he's got used to the fact I am a loony now though and will occassionally kick the leaves himself if he thinks no-one is looking!!!

I don't mind walking through dry, crunchy leaves, but when it rains... I have to avoid the leaves to save me from the embarrassment of slipping up on them!

Me, I love it. :-) Especially the smell of the wood. I like it when I take these long walk away from the noisy and polluted city, filling my lungs with oxygen and hearing to the scamper of the squirrels and twittering of the birds and wondering why Ma nature is so kind, despite we being cruel to nature.
