We've always been exactly the same and she started her period and I want one tooooooooo :'(

Your period starts according to a lot of different things, weight, food, activities, so there is no way you could expect to start at the same time, tis perfectly normal.
Also, don't get too excited, you'll only be let down! They aren't all that exciting! They are a pain in the butt, and really tedious. Don't be in rush to grow up, you have plenty of time :)

Hi. I'm like you, I haven't started yet, but, I think I'm close. So, I did some reading. It said it's heretic (not sure if I spelled that right) in your family around the time you start your period, and you might even have symptoms the same as your mom did. All I'm trying to say is that it can't possibly be tooo far away. If she started, it probably will be a couple wks to few months.

your body will decide when u r ready. i have 2 friends who r sisters. the youngest started her period first and it wasn't for a year or 2 till the other 1 did.

Everyone starts at their own pace honey, I started my period at 11 but my mom started hers at 13, but I'm adopted, so maybe that's why, but it really isn't fun to have your period. You get cramps, moodswings, sudden cravings, and you get blood where you don't want it like in your bed, underwear, and pants! Hope This helps,

Aww-sorry lol.Just support her at the moment as it's all new to her and you will have to go through it too..maybe even sooner than you think,it's not that great though once you get use to it lol.All the best and Good Luck.

congrats to her for getting her period.But Dear Girl,having periods is one suckyfeeling tht u have to go through every month.Dun rush as these tings will come wen the time is right.Enjoy ur life now....coz wen it comes....every mtn u feel pain...for 1 whole week

The thing to know is are you identical or fraternal. Even if you are fraternal, it will be coming very soon! And then in a few years, you will be thinking "why did I want this thing?" Uggghhhh!

trust me, once you start you will wish you never had one! I have had one since the age of 10, so for 9 years, it has been hell!
