The Supreme Court nominations of Roberts and Alito will help protect us citizens from government attacks on our rights and freedoms, especially from attacks by judicial fiat.

The war on terror has put the terrorists on the run, and the democracies established in Afghanistan and Iraq (unless undermined by the Democrats like South Vietnam was) should continue to progress.

The worst things were the increased spending on entitlements (prescription coverage) and the increased intrusion of the federal government into education.
