Interesting question, except that none of those things you mentioned as a problem are really happening, not with Dubya vetoing everything that matters.. The dollar is failing because we're spending more money than we can print. We're spending so much in fact that we even owe Mexico hundres of millions. I'm glad George W Bush and his treasury raiding Republican allies are "fiscal conservatives." Can you imagine the kind of trouble we'd be in if they were what they call "free spending liberals". We might have a 6 trillion dollar deficit instead of thet 3 trillion they've run up.

No. The illegal aliens are why the food on your Thanksgiving table doesn't cost twice or three times what it does.
The dollar is falling, you would know this if you were paying attention, due to the situation in the Middle East. OPEC is now wanting the price of oil in a variety of currencies and not the dollar any more. When a country borrows more than it can pay back the currency value goes down. When we import more than we export we see our currency value go down. This has been happening in record numbers the last several years. It has nothing to do with Social Security or Medicaid or education. By the way when you get old be sure and tell them you don't want Social Security or that you don't ever plan on getting a catastrophic illness so you don't need medical care. If you do, you have it covered even if it costs millions in treatment you won't need help. So put up or shut up.

No. It's because there's a lot of $$ out there in the international money markets, and other reasons.
It's not because of marxist welfare state future liabilities.
There are strong, logical, rational reasons to be against the huge influx of illegal immigrants into the US - but this isn't one.

it could be that... or maybe it's the trillions we spend on Iraq, The Republicans dipping into the medicade funds to use on other projects and this administration selling all of our debt to China.. but hey.. who am I to look at some of the obvious issues.
P.S. Immigration is probably the only issue in politics right now that isn't almost completely drawn down the middle with Democrats think this and Republicans think the opposite.... don't try to force it to be.

Only one thing is causing the dollar to fall: The Treasury is increasing the money supply. It's supply vs demand. Print it faster than the demand increases, and its value is less. Period.
Now, if it starts to look like we are doing it to devalue our debt obligations (if we start printing it really, really fast), you will see all kind of inflation.
