wasn't their some global warming going on for it to become a desert? whats all the hoopla about? how can we change something thats allways changing?

Ice Ages come and go every 150,000 years approx.
The Sahara became a desert due to tectonic plate movement as much as anything else.
The present Global Warming crisis, while not solely attributable to human activity, is none the less being vastly accelerated by humans.
Sadly it is now 20 years too late to change the damage we have wrought so we can merely put our collective heads between our knees and kiss our fundamental orifices ..GOODBYE.
Also we should have the grace to wish the cockroaches all the best for their turn at the helm.

I heard we have an ice age every 10'000 years or so, and we're still in the middle of one. Global warming is happening, but 10'000 years ago they didn't bother about it. Give it a few thousand years and we'll be back to normal.
