Labyrinth !!!!

tom cruise was in legend
I am afraid that any film with that nut in automatically drops 20 points in the credibility stakes straight away

and any movie with Bowie in automatically gains 20 pts straight away, because ....Because, he's DAVID BOWIE!!

Like them both.
Labyrinth good point--Bowie
bad point--his song (too modern for film)
great world,great creatures

legend good point--the fairy/goblin folk. Straight out of Froud's book of faeries. 1st time ever made so realistic on screen. Tim Curry was great as Darkness too
bad point--Tom Cruise looked like he didn't know what he was doing, thin plot

Overall I'd say labyrinth had a slightly better, more involved story and a more ambivalent (and hence more interesting)antagonist.

For me it was Legend even though I totally love David Bowie and don't care for Tom Cruise. However, he was very young in that one. I loved the bad guy in Legend.
