They never even asked me if they could ,i was putting my dog in the other room and i turned around and he was there,I was angry becouse that was my bedroom,then they searched my daughters bedroom,also my sons room i told them i didn't want them to wake him up but didn't care..Did they have the right.

well believe it or not it was over a yard ticit my husband owed,and he wasn't there in the house and no i didn't tell them they could come in,

You probably did invite them in. they didn't just show up at your door for no reason, and they are well versed in asking you if they can look around in subtle ways. Once you agree, they don't need a warrant.

There is almost certainly more to the story than you just wrote.

There are circumstances that will allow the police to search a residence without a warrant, but usually a warrant is required

EDIT-

If they had a warrant to arrest your husband, then they had the right to enter the house to try to make the arrest, so yes it was legal.

Not knowing why they were there in the first place, it is hard to tell. If they had reason to be there, and they saw something, in plain sight, like something to do with drugs, or something known to be stolen, then they may have been able to to a safety check, or search.
