I've been a fan of the NE Patriots, since 1972, when an old bf took me to my first game, and I was hooked. I've followed them ever since, only missing games, when I was living in Texas and in England. I stuck with them through their lean years, even in 1990, when they were 1-15, I still cheered them on. It's wonderful seeing them, at the top of their game.

The first football game I ever remember watching was in 1976 at the age of 6. Michigan vs. Ohio State at the Horseshoe in Columbus. Something caught my eye on the TV as I was playing, an overhead shot of the stadium from the Goodyear blimp. I could not remember attending any sporting event at that point & growing up in rural Missouri had certainly never seen anything like that. So I went to my dad and asked what it was. He began my education into the sport of football that day. And I watched as the winged helmets of the Michigan players swept the field & won that day 22-0. I was an instant Michigan fan. They were football to me. As I got older & began to learn of the great tradition & history of not only the football team, but more importantly the University of Michigan itself, I was hooked beyond football. So whereas my support stemmed from them being the first football team I was ever introduced into, it now is more because they are the embodiment & extention of the university I love & all that they stand for. Honor, dignity, discipline, excellence, & tradition. That's why even in a down year like this 31 years later I hold my head up high. Why I've taught my children that same Michigan tradition so that it may influence them to have the same qualities in their lives. And why I shall forever cheer 'Hurrah for the Yellow & Blue!'.

My favorite team is the Baltimore Ravens and i have been a fan since they came to Baltimore so that would be 1996...even though I never really got "addicted" to watching them until 1998... I am 23 so i wasnt around for the Colts era... The Ravens are my team because they are the Hometown team and even though i no longer live in Baltimore they are still my team and I support them no matter what...

I grew up watching redskins football although i HATED football back then and the team that i liked was the Miami Dolphins because of their name and colors... but hey i was like 7 or 8 back then and didnt like football anyway

I'm 53 and I've been an LSU fan longer than I can remember. However, I'm also a New Orleans Saints fan and I have been a fan since they came in existence back in 1967. The Saints aren't the best team out there but for the most part their players have stayed out of trouble with the law even though New Orleans does have one of the highest crime rates in the nation. I like LSU because they don't focus on a particular player and try to promote him for the Heisman Trophy. They play as a team.

The Rams when they were in LA because I went there on business quite often during the 80s and early 90s but I used to have to support the 49ers (since 1982) for "health reasons" cos I married a Northern Californian.

I grew up in the 1950s on the edge of Brooklyn, so I was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan, as were most people in my neighborhood. I guess the year I became conscious of rooting for the Dodgers was 1954--a year they actually lost the pennant to the New York Giants (I emphasize this is baseball I'm talking about). Of course, the next year the Dodgers won their first World Series. Soon they moved to L.A., but I still have a warm place in my heart for Dodger Blue.

Patriots in 1978. They got screwed by Oakland. Al Davis controlled the NFL. Well, look who is in control now!! People used to joke that the Patriots were the Raiders farm team. too bad for you people who jumped of the band wagon in 1990 when they were 1-15.

I'm a Cleveland Browns fan. Sometime in the mid '70's (I was just a little kid) my dad was watching a Cleveland vs Pittsburgh game. I asked him what he was watching. He told me football, and a little about the game. I asked who he was rooting for. He said the Cleveland Browns. And since my dad was my biggest real hero I started rooting for the Browns too. I remember the Cardiac Kids, the Drive, the fumble, and had my heart ripped out when Art Modell moved his team to Baltimore. I somehow made it Thur the years with no football, and bad football. And I am so happy to see the Browns playing good and can't wait to see them play great. That is why I am a REFUSE TO DIE Cleveland Browns fan.
