It airs tomorrow. Can you imagine being at one of her holiday favorite things shows where everybody in the audience gets all that stuff? I realize she doesn't personally pay for all of it, but imagine what you'd get. Even if you didn't use all of it, you'd have some nice things to give away or donate.

Since they are gifts and not prize winnings, I'm not sure you would have to pay taxes.

I heard they even got refridgerators this year. Yes, I would love to be on that show. And, the town of Macon made $20,000 in improvements to the place where the show was filmed. Oprah has even offered to give them some of that back.

Yes, I always enjoy watching that show, every year. How lucky to be in that audience. No one knows what date it will be, so you can not ask for tickets for a specific date. And yes as one other person said it is a gift not a prize, so I don't think any taxes would be involved. It probably comes out to a couple of grand if not more. I guess they give you gift certificates to a store near you, as I can not see a lot of people getting on a plane with all this stuff they go. She is one of the most generous people I know, and always giving away something. Houses, cars and everything else in between.

I watched it and it's just absolutely ridiculous! I hate the she has to raise her ratings by generating sales for companies that are probably run by other self absorbed hypocrites.

That gift tax amounts to 50% of value I've been told -- nonetheless, you can count me in.
