In Friday's NY Post, Phil Mushnick says this:
"After Mike Tirico noted that Niners' coach Mike Nolan, following the death, the day before, of his father, said there was never a question whether he'd be on the sidelines for this game---he would be---Kornheiser could have left it at that.
Instead, in keeping with MNF on ESPN tradition, Kornheiser eschewed silence in favor of my-turn, me-too noise-making. "THAT'S how you honor your father," he soulfully declared.
So then, had Nolan chosen to be with his grieving mother, on this night, what would that've meant? That he dishonored his father? For crying out loud.
After the passing of his father, Tiger Woods withdrew from competitive golf for nearly a month. What should we make of that? All this time we thought he loved his father."
So what are your thoughts on this classic stupid outburst by Kornheiser?

Darth is actually right once in a while... lol... I mean I have actually played competitive sports(a while ago in high school--briefly) and these guys talk as though they know more than I do and the only reason they would is because they get to talk personally to people that I can't ever talk to personally and also attend sporting events for free...

I guess what I would add to this is that everyone deals with a loss in their family and how you choose to deal with it should not be scrutinized or even held up as an example.
If a coach just decides that the right thing to do is coach the next game or stay out of the team's way for one day, one week, or one month, then no one should be judging that.
