Congrats! I think you will be starting your period soon! When I thought I was about to have my period, I asked my parents if I could buy some groceries for them. Then, while at the store I bought some pads. But, you can't hide it from them forever. You'll have to tell them sooner or later.

There is no reason to be afraid this is a normal bodily function for girls. As I recall the experience I was at home when my period arrived. It was not that bad I was not in any pain at all. I told my mother that I had just started and she took me to the bathroom and handed me my first pad and explained how to use it the end.

Your father is very aware that girls have periods this is not a secret and he knows that you are close to that time. I am sure his girlfriend has supplies at the house. For your first time I recommend you use pads you do not want to have to figure out a tampon your first time. After you use your pad please fold it up and wrap a little toilet paper around it and dispose of it in
the trash. Never flush a pad it will stop up the toilet.

You could ask you Dad's girlfriend to get some pads and put them in the bathroom for you don't be embarrassed ALL girls have periods and they know you will to. You may even put one in your purse in case you start at school. Usually it is not going to be a great big flood or anything usually you will spot first so don't worry if you are at school it won't be that big of a deal just put a pad on and you are good to go. Good luck darling.
