It seems that most high level politicians are also well connected to those in business, and finance. Do most politicians gain major investments, and business ideas by being interconnected with the business and financial elite?

Most politicians in the United States seem to be wealthy one way or another, at least having assets in excess of $200,000. Are most invested in some corporation?

Yes they are.

What is more interesting than this statistics is the how many US Supreme Court Justices own ENORMOUS levels of stock in major corporations. I read a couple years ago that all of them are multi-millionaires and in something like 40% of the cases they accept, one or more has to recuse him or herself due to owning a portion of the company in question.

In today's society, you must invest. If you do not have any investments, you will never be financially well of. I think most Americans have invested and are reaping the benfits under President Bush.
