I moved in this past Feb; the seller told us that if the septic field was still wet in the summer that he would fix it? So the contract states that if it is broken, then he covers the cost of getting it fixed. So, we called a septic fixer guy, but, now we can't find or locate the seller? Should we just cut our losses and pay for it ourselves, or how could I locate him if I don't have his phone, address, ect?

All I can say is "you should have"

You should have had a contractor that was certified and bonded to go over your entire home.

Now, there are various ways to find this jerk. Since a new septic is going to cost you in the neighborhood of ten to fifteen thousand dollars, it's going to benefit you to hire a good attorney and tell him your story, see if he can find this guy, he should be able to, and then let the attorney hang him out to dry. He took you for a ride.

Your septic tank is full and needs to be pumped. The wetness is sewage waste. I would definately try to contact the seller. If he did get it fixed, maybe it was not fixed properly and therefor the septic co. is obligated to fix the problem. If the selller never fixed the problem, it should be at his expense.

You probably need the tank pumped and the field tiles water jetted.

check with the realtor you went through, most likely you will have to cut your losses, but you may get lucky... good luck!
