You don't ever really let go, but you do move on, as I have. I am in the same situation as you. He was probably your first love, as was mine. Because he left you, it is always harder for the other person to let go. I think about my ex all the time and sometimes wonder what it would be like to run in to him again and start a friendship, and talk about the good old days, but I know it will never happen. I have never seen my ex in 25 years he moved far away, but I always wonder and think about him and so will you. So just carry on with the life with who your with now and keep your memories as I do. God Bless!!

Have you been wasting your life all these years? I hope not. If you date and meet new people , then I don't see how you can still hold onto that candle. Sounds like you are sitting home reminiscing and that is just sad. Go out and mingle girl!

Wake up. He left you 20 years ago look at all the life you have wasted. He didn't want you then don't think he wants you now. Go find a guy and make up for the 20 years of misery you have put yourself through.

Sadly, you have wasted your life looking in the rear view mirror. Blow out the candle and start a new flame elsewhere.
OH, the possibilities!!!!!

I am sorry that you had to go through that. What I am more sorry about though is how much you are missing out on. You sooooo deserve to be happy and this life is so incredibly short.
Whether you spend your days alone or you find a new love, its time to think about you and your happiness. Look out for you.
