I always loved the smell of the different Christmas trees that we had through the years. However, the one I remember the most is the year my Dad brought home a tree so crocked that he had to tie it to the door knob of a door in our living room, in order for it to stay standing. We had some fun Christmases when I was growing up, but that was the funniest. Thanks for the memory!

When I was a kid we always had real trees. One year my mom declared she was tired of dropped needles, cleaning up, etc. She came home with one of those silver aluminum trees with the color wheel. Yeah, it got used that year only. It was not real popular with the family. I have had some gorgeous fake trees over the years. One of these days hubby and I will move out of the apartment and into a house of our own, and that year we'll probably get a real tree. Maybe.

When small we always had a real tree...usually a scotch pine. Then one year my parents bought a real tree that had been heavily flocked with white...it was gorgeous!
When my kids were small we had an aluminum tree in the rec room [real one upstairs] and had a color wheel.
Over the years I've had real trees and artificial ones. My tree now is a prelit artificial.

I love the real trees too. I used to LOVE doing the tree, and the girls and my late hubbie would all help. It would be a family affair. 14 Days before Christmas and had to be taken down 14 days after Christmas. I have no idea why, but that is what my mother taught me. She was Irish, bless her, I still miss her and my dad, and I am 63!
One year I decided to be "different" and I painted a big dead tree with no leaves, white. The family thought I had lost it. But once we began decorating it, and it was finished, everyone was thrilled. I have never seen an aluminun tree. Is it silver?

The one we had when I was a child was the most hideous thing I have ever seen....I use to call it the bottle brush cleaner, it was pathetic.....but I still enjoyed decorating it with the cotton wool spread out on the length of it's branches....lol
When I got married I vowed I would never have an imitation tree.....that was until one year I had to take the blooming thing out on CHRISTMAS DAY!!!....it was dropping it's needles all over our dinner....(long story, couldn't put it anywhere but near the table).... So after many years of searching for the "perfect" imitation tree I found it...it looks stunning, when I finally finish putting all the decs on, my kids laugh at me about the amount of time I spend doing the tree up, but it's the second most important thing to me at Christmas, the first is seeing the childrens faces on Christmas morning

I have always had a real tree and it was always filled with decorations and always beautiful. I am older now and never ever thought I would find comfort in a table top tree but we have a fibrooptic tree and it folds back into the box and I have little mini santas and I find it easy, festive and the simpler the better and I honestly couldnt understand people enjoying tiny before but here I am enjoying tiny..where are my depends lol...

We always had a real Christmas tree, that we'd go cut down ourselves at a tree "farm".
My aunt had one of the aluminum trees with a color wheel. That always bedazzled me and I thought it was magical! LOL
One of our friends had an artifical tree that was "flocked" with fake snow. They put all blue lights and ornaments on it. I thought it was weird.
Our real tree was the best!

When the boys were growing up, we used to get a real tree, but now we have an artificial one. And it is much smaller too. Love decorating the Xmas tree.

My husband's family had an aluminum tree with the color
wheel. I had never seen one before. It was so pretty.
We usually have a tree with the tiny multicolored lights and
the glass balls. It's lovely to look at the lights sparkle and
reflect in the glass. So pretty.
