They have handicap rooms.It usually has the extra handrails in the shower and a small seat if necessary. Other than that, I think they are treated like everyone else.

When I was executive housekeeper we had elderly asking for the jacuzzi room and I did not question them as to how they would get in and out. But still find it amusing that they wanted it. Those things are hard to clean and get in and out of.

If they have any disabilities make it know.Also ask for a room close to the elevators.You may hear the people a little,but shorter trip from the elevator.Ask for help with luggage if not sure.Also with luggage on the way out...Hope this helps.

The non-slip surfaces and handgrips are good for the bathroom.
Also, I think a nice wine and fruit assortment would be something nice to have waiting upon arrival to your hotel room.

Most hotels can/do furnish the physical aids (ramps, railing, toilet modifications etc) for the handicapped, beyond that, I assume you're on your own.
