With your wife you are supposed to have sex. With your mother not.

Some men must really not know the difference. I work with a guy who always calls his wife "Mother". I thought that was a name reserved for her children.

Your mother gave birth to you and took care of you until you were able to take care of yourself.
Your wife is glad that your mother taught you to take care of yourself because she can love you without having to be a mother to you.
Love your mother for all she has given you.
Love your wife for all you can give her.
That's my opinion, of course I've left out the obvious difference - unless of course you have some kind of Oedipus Complex.

A wife is a woman who is married and is to be devoted only to her husband when it comes to a relationship in an emotional and sexual way. She is to also be devoted to the family her and her husband create, or bring in. (If the husband/wife had prior child/children)
A mother is a woman who is to be a role model, caretaker, provider, counselor, responsible, show unconditional love to her child/children. She is to put them first, never last.
A father is to do the same also.

Your mom is the one that looked after u when u were not married, if you do marry then your mum just gives that job to your wife. Only difference is, you don't have sex with your mom.

The mother carries the duty of birthing your children and passing along your genes. Without her, you cannot pro-create.

Mother is someone who gave birth to you, raised you, care for you, and teaches you to be true to your wife.
