To buy from Patons at wholesale you need to have a huge minimum order. Businesses tend not to giveout details of their suppliers for obvious reasons but unless you want to spend several thousand poundson yarn you would be betteroff trying to do a deal with your local independant yarn store. They may be willing to offer you a large supply at closer to wholesale rates.

Direct from the spinners. They would probably have a minimum order and want a bank reference. If you are a professional knitter rather than a trader approach your local yarn shop and ask if they would give you a discount for bulk orders paid in cash. I used to have a yarn shop and did this for customers.

you actually do not spend thousands at all, but £150 BUT you need a trade license, insurance and be registered with HMRC and also prove all of the above. wholesalers to no just sell to anyone as that takes away from genuine businesses

I purchase wool sweaters at the thrift shop and unravel them....yard sales are good also.....many times the article it self is ugly but the yard is very good....
