in my area, there used to be huge sales at all the stores i.e. Wal Mart, Sears, JCPenney, Big Lots, Fred's etc. This year there hasn't been any talk of the sales. We usually make a day of it with my dad and step mom, and go out for breakfast, and then shop til we drop, but this year there hasn't been any ads for sales at these stores.
Has anyone else noticed this trend? Are there going to be sales and they just haven't sent out ads yet??

It shouldn't. Most big sales occur in the morning on Black Friday. Plenty of time to watch a movie in the afternoon.

That's not until this coming Friday. The ads will be out today or tomorrow most likely. Some may not hit the streets until Friday.

Plan to still go- there will be HUGE savings at all stores the day after Thanksgiving- Happy Holidays, and good luck in all the crowds!

Oh don't you worry, they are out there. I go to a website called gotadeal.com and there is a huge blackfriday ad on there.
